Gasthof Goldgasse

We were there on Christmas Day. The staff was so friendly, kind, and attentive. I speak German but my partner does not, and they we kind enough to speak to me in German and her in English. The food was absolutely outstanding. The fried chicken was the best I’ve ever had. The gnocchi was so fluffy and delectable. Overall it was a truly wonderful experience. 10/10. If we weren’t leaving tomorrow, we’d come back again, and when we are in Salzburg again, this will be the first stop.

What a fantastic way to spend a late lunch. This place is incredible. We shared the salad with beetroot not sure what was in the dressing but it was incredible! I had the fried chicken and my husband had the burger. Both were wonderful. The house sparkling wine was great too and a great price. Definitely recommend this restaurant if you are in Salzburg.

Geschmacklich fein, die vegetarische Variante (Kartoffelnocken mit Ziegenkäse) hatte von der Menge her allerdings leider eher Vorspeisencharakter. Preis- Leistung steht hier in keinem Verhältnis. Das Servicepersonal wusste mit dieser Kritik nichts anzufangen und reagierte eher unbeholfen.

Excellent restaurant with great food and drink. Service was stellar too. Beautiful location and quaint old world charm. Make sure you make a reservation as it fills up quickly.

Essen gut , Preise überteuert , daher nur mit gut bewertet

Food wine and service was very good. I did not like the threat of a large charge for no show or cancellation within an hour of reservation. I am an honest person who means what he says. This threat feels you assume I am not. I am just not comfortable with being assumed I am not honest or with ill intent. I trust you, that your business.will be there when I arrive. Something just doesn’t feel equal

Food was delicious. We had the Chateaubriand for our entree and plum tarte for dessert. Service was great. Excellent!

Tolle, traditionelle Küche, mitten in Salzburg. Gemütliches Ambiente und zuvorkommende Bedienung.

Flotte Bedienung. Bierauswahl gering. Wein dafür um so mehr. Nicht preiswert, aber Touristengebiet.

Good food but the evening was spoilt by a rude and aggressive waitress that tried to force a 20% tip from us. She became unpleasant when we declined.

A decidedly mixed experience. The restaurant has a warm, snug atmosphere with friendly staff to greet your arrival. Excellent beetroot appetiser was followed by unremarkable, modest potion of char fillet and a large double schnitzel , one of which was fine and the other was tough. Pointing this out to the waiter was met with an offer to replace it (no thanks!) but, disappointingly, no cost reduction, which rather took the edge off the evening.
